Wood Decay Testing

Treecare Consulting provides a wood testing service for timber items other than standing trees.

Examples:

• Play equipment supports.
• Bridge supports.
• High Rope course supports.
• Gate/Fence and wooden barrier posts.
• Telegraph poles.
• Timber beams.

We use a PD500 Micro Drill to obtain a true physical reading from the target timber. The information gained is a true measure of what is goin gon inside a section of timber. The PD500 can clearly show:

• Decay.
• Cracks.
• Rot pockets.
• Cavities in wood.
• Loss of structural strength.
